Argo Sherp Pro XT

Have you ever wished you could get something with the capabilities of an Argo amphibious ATV with the size and enclosed cab of a sport utility vehicle? Now you can. The Argo Sherp Pro XT takes everything that makes an XTV a great off-roader and scales it up to monster truck-sized proportions.

Performance

The Sherp Pro XT has a 1.8 liter, 3 cylinder Doosan diesel engine. This engine meets EPA Stage 5 Tier 4 Final emissions regulations, so it’s legal to use almost anywhere. It makes 55 horsepower and 140 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel consumption is just 1.3 to 2.2 gallons per hour, which isn’t much more than Argo’s other amphibious ATVs.
The on-board fuel tank holds 25 gallons, but this isn’t the only place you can put fuel. The Sherp’s giant wheels have space to hold additional fuel tanks, adding another 61.2 gallons of diesel. That means you can go for days or even weeks between refueling.
The Sherp’s controls are less sophisticated than an XTV. It has a 6 speed manual instead of a CVT, and it uses lever-based steering controls instead of a set of handlebars. This makes it feel more like driving a ZTR mower than an ATV. However, the rest of the drive system is similar, with a chain-based drivetrain runs through an oil bath, keeping everything lubricated with minimal maintenance.
The Sherp only has four tires, but with a diameter of 71 inches, they offer the same low ground pressure as Argo’s other models. Top speed is 25 MPH on land, and 4 MPH on water. An exhaust-driven air system lets you change tire pressure from the cabin. This vehicle can climb 35 degree vertical slopes and 30 degree side slopes. It has 26 inches of ground clearance.

Payload and Towing

The Sherp Pro measures 157 x 101 x 118 inches, and has an 86 inch wheelbase. For comparison, an Argo Conquest Pro is 125 inches long and 65 inches wide, while a two door Jeep Wrangler is 167 inches long and 74 inches wide.
The enclosed cabin has a built-in rollover protection system, and a heater and air conditioner come standard. Inside, you’ll find a total of 275 cubic feet of space, including 70 cubic feet in the front passenger area. From the factory, this vehicle seats two people up front. Argo offers three cargo seating options, including two or four forward-facing seats, and 6 side-facing seats. The Sherp can carry up to 2,645 lbs. and tows up to 5,180 lbs. It comes with front and rear two inch hitch receivers.

Warranty

The Sherp Pro XT is covered by a 24 months/1,000 operating hour warranty.
